<p class="C1">&#65279AMAR SI&#7748GH M&#256N (d. 1805), landowner in Amritsar district who left his village about the year 1759, adopted the Sikh faith and joined the Kanhaiy&#257 Misl. He overran and took possession of a large part of Gurd&#257spur district, including Suk&#257lga&#7771h and Dharamko&#7789. He built a fort at Suk&#257lga&#7771h which he made his main residence. After a lifelong fighting career, he died quietly in his bed in the year 1805.</p>
