In the course of a journey through this area, Gur&#363 Tegh Bah&#257dur came and sat here under a p&#299pal tree on the bank of a pond. The old p&#299pal tree is not there now, but the pond, called R&#257m Tal&#257&#299 and believed to possess medicinal properties for curing skin diseases, has since been lined and converted into a small sarovar, holy tank. Construction of the Gurdw&#257r&#257 was commenced in 1919 and completed on 1 Chet 1992 Bk/14 March 1935. The building comprises a square d&#299v&#257n hall, which is an extension of the sanctum where the Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib is installed. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by a village committee. There is a lithographed copy of the Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib preserved in the Gurdw&#257r&#257, printed in N&#257nak Sh&#257h&#299 Sammat 424 (AD 1893). It has 2134 pages and the volume ends with the R&#257gam&#257l&#257 with which composition copies of the holy Scripture as a rule conclude.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Fauj&#257 Si&#7749gh, Gur&#363 Tegh Bah&#257dur, Y&#257tr&#257 Asth&#257n, Prampr&#257v&#257&#7749 te Y&#257d Chinn.
